The MMC Foundation
The Melbourne Montessori College Foundation was established in 2012 to promote the culture of giving within the MMC community.
The MMC Foundation supports the future growth and development of Melbourne Montessori College, and helps the school meet its strategic aims.
The Foundation’s current goals are to:
- Secure financial and in-kind support to underpin the long-term vision of MMC.
- Connect with current families, past students and parents, and friends of MMC to grow philanthropic support.
- Create opportunities and programs to support the school’s Building Fund, Library Fund and Scholarship Fund.
In November 2020, the MMC Foundation’s very first Community Giving Day raised $115,500 in a 24- hour appeal to establish the MMC Scholarship Fund.
In 2022 the Foundation worked tirelessly alongside the PA and the school to run its inaugural Spring Fair – a MMC community event that brought together the entire school with a diverse and celebratory event that raised funds to support the new Caulfield Campus Library.
In 2023, it successfully achieved its goal of raising $30,000 in its annual gift giving campaign that will help establish the building fund to transform the original church building at our Brighton Campus into a new learning and performing arts precinct.
In 2024, in line with the school’s 50th birthday celebration, the Foundation launched a legacy fund with the goal of raising $500,000 over 5 years from donations and pledges from the school’s community.
The funds raised will be used to support the school’s ongoing development and ensure that future generations of students continue to benefit from a Montessori education. We’ve had 50 strong years of growth and success, and this legacy fund is an important way for our community to ensure we continue to grow and succeed for another 50 years!
