MMC Parents’ Association
The MMC Parents’ Association (PA) celebrates our community, supports our families, and offers parents and carers opportunities to play an active role in the life of the school. The group connects parents, carers and teachers, supports student and teacher-led initiatives, and helps improve student learning inside and outside the classroom.
The PA has five members, elected by MMC parents and carers, who form the PA Leadership Team.
The Leadership Team works together to:
- Support families during their journey at MMC.
- Foster social connection and a strong community that is involved in school life to benefit students.
- Provide information on how our community can support each other and MMC.
All parents and carers are members of the PA and are encouraged to volunteer and be part of PA events and initiatives.
If you’d like to be a member of the PA Leadership Team, nominations are held in Term 3. You can find out more about the nomination process below.
- Welcomes new families to MMC
- Helps build social networks in the MMC community
- Organises and supports fundraising activities for MMC
- Organises Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Grandparent’s Day celebrations and a special ‘Thank You’ event for teachers, staff and MMC volunteers

MMC Parents’ Association Nominations
Parents’ Association nominations to appoint five PA Leadership Team members are held every year. Nominations open in Term 3.
Every family with a student enrolled at MMC is eligible to nominate themselves and/or other parents or carers.
Appointment to the PA Leadership Team are for 12 months (1 January – 31 December).
Where multiple nominations are received for a role, a vote is held by parents/carers to appoint a candidate.

PA Leadership Team roles
The PA is a sub-committee of the Board and is governed by its own Terms of Reference. The PA is led by the PA Leadership Team.
