Senior School
Senior School Overview
Welcome to our Senior School! At MMC, we have a unique approach to education. Our classes include students of different ages, creating a diverse learning environment and offering every students an invaluable opportunity to learn from their peers and to grow at their own pace, socially and intellectually.
The Montessori program for 12-to-18-year-olds recognises the unique characteristics of this developmental stage. Adolescence is marked by significant social growth, critical thinking, self-reflection and self-exploration as individuals transition from childhood to adulthood and mature physically and mentally.
During early puberty, adolescents may struggle to concentrate with traditional academic and structured learning methods. We see adolescence as being like an odyssey — an exciting yet challenging journey where adolescents strive to discover their purpose and role in the world.
Our Senior School is divided into three parts: Cycle 4 (Years 7 and 8), Cycle 5 (Years 9 and 10), and Cycle 6 (Years 11 and 12). In the final years of secondary school, students can choose between our Montessori Careers Program or the renowned International Baccalaureate program.
We believe in fostering an inclusive, supportive community where students can flourish academically and personally. By providing multi-age classrooms and specialised programs in the Senior School, we empower our students and prepare them for a successful future.
