With over 12 years at Melbourne Montessori College, Natasha brings extensive experience and specialist Montessori training to the 3 – and 4 -year old Kinder and Prep classroom. Holding qualifications in early childhood, preschool education and Montessori education, she creates a calm, nurturing environment where children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
“I’ve been a Learning Assistant in the Bunjil classroom since 2014. I hold a Bachelor of Home Science, majoring in Human Development with a specialisation in Preschool Education, a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education, and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Montessori) from the Montessori World Educational Institute (MWEI). I am also a Montessori 3–6 / 0–8 Trained Guide.
I feel a deep sense of calm and joy when I am around children, and I am continually inspired by them as they are my greatest teachers. I see working with children and supporting their families as my purpose, and I value building genuine, trusting relationships with each child. I especially appreciate those moments of discovery when children learn something new, apply it to real life, and grow in confidence and independence.
My approach is to create a calm, nurturing and well-prepared environment where children feel safe, valued and supported to explore and develop independence. I use careful observation to understand each child’s interests and developmental needs, designing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that connect to real-world contexts and spark curiosity. I guide children with patience and respect, supporting their emotional wellbeing, confidence and sense of responsibility while working collaboratively with colleagues and families.”
