Daniel Thomas nominated as Primary School Principal of the Year
- News
Each year, Australia’s best principals, teachers, and education specialists are recognised by their peers at the Australian Education Awards – the country’s premier education awards. This year, our very own Principal, Daniel Thomas, has been nominated and chosen as a finalist in the Primary School Principal of the Year – Non-Government category. This is a significant achievement for Daniel and MMC and we are incredibly proud that Daniel and our school have been recognised by the award organisers.
Daniel arrived at MMC at a time when the school was in a state of flux and the pandemic had taken its toll on our community – staff, students and parents. Within a year, Daniel had worked hard and gained the trust and confidence of the MMC community. Staff feel supported, valued and listened to. Parents feel an integral part of the fabric of the school and our students are excited to come to school each day.
Daniel’s willingness to listen and his transparency, availability and his future vision for MMC have helped foster a united school community that shares the same goal – to provide an authentic Montessori education for every child.
Daniel has high expectations for the future of MMC and through hard work and commitment, he has earned the confidence of teachers, students and parents that he will achieve those goals.
We wish him the very best of luck at the finals of the Australian Education Awards in August.
