A Chess Victoria Zonal Interschool tournament was held on Tuesday, 18 June and MMC ranked 5th amongst the 14 schools that took part, based on the top four students from each school.
A total of around 67 players took part, each competing in seven increasingly difficult rounds. Players were paired with stronger opponents as they won, and difficulty levels were reduced if players lost.
Noah S had an exceptional performance and won 4.7 games. We look forward to more students supporting the team and attending the tournament next term.
