Daniel makes Influential Educators list in 2024 and 2025

Daniel has done it again! The Melbourne Montessori College Principal has made the Australia’s ‘Most Influential Educators’ list again in 2025 after first making the list last year.
The Influential Educators list, compiled by the country’s leading educational publication, The Educator, recognises Australia’s most outstanding teachers and principals for their expertise, innovation and leadership. It also acknowledges their commitment to the wellbeing and success of their school, students and staff.
“I’m feeling extremely humbled – and incredibly proud of everyone at Melbourne Montessori College because this recognition is a team effort. It reflects the dedication, passion and professionalism of each person who works at our school,” says Daniel.
Daniel’s back-to-back inclusion on the list highlights the school’s continued growth and the efforts made to create an inclusive and vibrant learning environment for students, staff and MMC families.
“Melbourne Montessori College inspires children to create a better world with their own two hands through a learning environment that embodies respect for self, respect for others, intercultural understanding and respect for the environment,” says Daniel.
“Our school has an unwavering commitment to grow each child’s innate love of learning and to make their educational journey joyful and purposeful. The teachers and staff I work with every day know what makes MMC tick, they know what makes the school a special place, and they know how to bring out the very best in every student.”
Since arriving at the school in 2022, Daniel has steered a number of key changes including restructuring the school’s operations and overseeing the development and implementation of MMC’s masterplan, Towards 500. He’s also built enduring relationships across the school.
Daniel says this latest recognition underscores MMC’s strong and positive position.
“I have no doubt that our school will continue to inspire many more generations of young people to be curious, passionate and respectful citizens of the world,” he says.
